The integrity of KSS Sign Language Interpreting is demonstrated through the standards we set in our service. We are dedicated to providing equal access and high quality services to the deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing communities, in accordance with the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Code of Professional Conduct (CPC).
The Seven Tenets of the CPC
1. Interpreters adhere to standards of confidential communication.
2. Interpreters posses the professional skills and knowledge required for the specific interpreting situations.
3. Interpreters conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to the specific interpreting situation.
4. Interpreters demonstrate respect for consumers.
5. Interpreters demonstrate respect for colleagues, interns and students of the profession.
6. Interpreters maintain ethical business practices.
7. Interpreters engage in professional development.

We provide qualified interpreters tested by state and/or national standards, who are capable of handling a variety of situations depending on their qualifications and certification level. Agencies, businesses and deaf/hard of hearing consumers are allowed the opportunity to request specific interpreters to fit their individual needs as proposed in the CPC. These principles uphold our commitment to high ethical standards and serve the goal of effective communication.
